Information We Collect and How We Use It

Our principle is to collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide and improve our Services.

Information from our Website

• Cookies: Our website uses essential cookies to ensure its basic functionality, such as remembering your consent to our cookie policy. For more detailed information, please review our Cookie Policy.
• Server Log Files: Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically collect information that your browser sends. This may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, and the date and time of your visit. This data is used for security purposes, to diagnose technical problems, and to generate anonymous statistics about website traffic.

Information from our Mobile App

• Location Data: With your explicit consent, we access your device's geographical location (latitude and longitude).
  Purpose: This is the core function of the app. We use your location exclusively to send a request to the Google Places API to find nearby places.
  Processing: Your location is processed at the moment of your request and is not stored on our servers or shared with any third party other than Google for the purpose of the search.
• User-Provided Data: This is data you actively provide by using the app's interface.
  Purpose: To customize your search for a random place.
  Data: Search Radius (e.g., 1 km, 5 km) and Selected Categories (e.g., Cafes, Restaurants, Museums).
• Data Stored Locally on Your Device: To provide features like your visit history and to avoid showing you the same places repeatedly, the app stores data directly and only on your device. This data is never transmitted to us or any third party.
  Data Stored: A history of places you have interacted with and your chosen language preference. You have full control over this data and can delete your entire history at any time using the "Clear All" button in the app's History tab.

Data Sharing with Third-Party Services

Our Service relies on third-party services to function.

a) Google Places API

Purpose: To find places near you and get details about them (photos, ratings, etc.).
Data Shared with Google: When you perform a search, we send your device's current location, the selected search radius and categories, and authentication keys to the Google Places API. We do not send any personal identifiers like your name, email, or device ID. For more information, please see Google's Privacy Policy.

b) Google AdMob (Advertising)

Purpose: To display advertisements, which allows us to offer the Service for free.
Data Collected by Google AdMob: To provide relevant ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect data. With your consent through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, this may include your device's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). The app will show a system pop-up asking for your permission to track. If you do not grant permission, ads will still be shown, but they will be non-personalized. Your Rights under GDPR

As a user, you have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, rectify, and erase your data. Since all your app usage data (history) is stored only on your device, you have direct control to erase it at any time. We are committed to protecting your information. We do not operate our own servers for this app, and all data processing either happens on your device or is transmitted securely via standard HTTPS protocols to Google's services or our website hosting provider.
